  1. Miniature In-Line Screens and Breathers Provide Big Benefits in Particulate Control

Miniature in-line screens/breathers help engineers protect critical components from damage or reduced performance due to clogging or reduced flow rates. Designed to augment the protection of critical components in fluid control systems, the fine screens are intended to prevent the occasional particles that enter the fluid during installation or otherwise.

The primary objective for these devices is simple: a last chance to catch any solid contaminants and prevent them from entering a component or a system. This makes them ideal for use with precision orifices, pneumatic transducers, gas and liquid flow instruments, medical devices, filling and purging systems, pneumatic timers, transmitters, pneumatic transmission lines, hydraulic controls, leak test equipment and flow measurement devices. O’Keefe Controls Co.’s fine screen breathers provide an air passage into equipment, enclosures, and pneumatic controls while preventing the ingestion of solid particles. The stainless steel wire screens do not introduce loose particles into the fluid stream. The screens are thoroughly cleaned to prevent inadvertent introduction of contaminants.

Four levels of particle retention are available (10, 15, 25 and 100 microns) in either brass or 303 stainless steel housings. Miniature fine screen breathers are rated at 15, 25 or 100 microns and are available in either brass or stainless steel fittings. Connection sizes are 10-32, 1/8″ or 1/4″ NPT. In all cases, the screen material is 304 stainless steel.

O’Keefe Controls Co. has unveiled a newly redesigned website, www.okeefecontrols.com that allows you to do your job more easily than ever before. As you’ll see, we’ve adopted a more streamlined approach that simplifies navigation as you search for precision orifices and fluid control devices used in liquid and gas flow metering applications.

Our objectives in developing this new site were twofold:

    1. We wanted to make our corporate brand and mission clear, which you will see as you move from the home page to individual tabs that define our processes for sales and production And with that you’ll have no trouble seeing what other customers have to say about their experience with our products and service in the testimonials that are evident from page to page.
    2. Perhaps the most noticeable new element of the site is our product catalog. This is a new tool we’re particularly proud to announce since it’s been a vision of our team here for some time. Now you may glance over eight primary product categories and zip right into the heart of your search with brilliant, full-color product imagery, CAD drawings and downloadable data sheets with just a couple of quick keystrokes.

The point of this new robust format is not to remove the personal, one-on-one contact for which O’Keefe Controls has been known. It is here to better prepare you for the conversation you will want to have when the time comes to discuss specific requirements unique to your system or equipment. So it’s a service point we have enhanced here and one that is available to you 24/7 no matter where in the world you may be located, nor how often you may need to refer back to it.

Those are the main aspects to the new site and we’re very pleased with the outcome of all the work that’s gone into it. Obviously success is measured in the level of satisfaction experienced on your part. So let us know what you think of the new format. You may reach us by clicking on our Contact Us page anytime. We invite you to bookmark the site as a favorite to save yourself time when revisiting later on to view additional product information or to check out additional blog posts.
